Terms & Conditions of Business v.2018

We will always do whatever we can to ensure that you have the very best function possible, but there are some Terms & Conditions that we need you to agree too before the booking is confirmed. These are based on our many years of experience and will help us ensure that we can give you the best time possible. Putting you centre stage since 1997.

BOOKING:

Your booking is not confirmed until your deposit has been received and your contract and Terms & Conditions of Business have been issued, signed and returned to us.

The client for the contract must be over the age of 18 at the time of booking. If most guests at a function are to be under the age of 18, then a responsible adult must be present throughout.

All bookings are taken on the understanding that the venue is in possession of the necessary entertainment & liquor licenses. We are not responsible if the venue is found to be negligent in this respect and will terminate the service if required by Authorities to do so.

Once booked, event packages are fixed and, if reduced, the full initial fee will be due. Packages may be increased as long as the equipment is available to do so. An updated contract will be issued. Preferential rates are offered only for booking and paying through a venue, going outside of this arrangement means that the non-discounted fee will be charged in full.

We reserve the right to substitute an alternative DJ should circumstances beyond our control dictate the need to do so.

In the unlikely event of us being unable to attend your event, we will give you as much notice as is possible. We will issue a full refund. Throughout any discussions concerning the provision of the service or the terms of the contract, we will deal with the contract signatory only.

For bookings including the chocolate fountain or candy buffet, we reserve the right to alter the make-up of the accompanying foodstuffs depending on seasonal or supplier availability.

Uplighting that is dry hired to the client will always be checked to be working on collection or installation. Subsequent loss or damage to the uplighters will be charged to the client at cost.

Final music requests should be supplied to your DJ no later than two weeks before your function so adequate preparation time is available.

By engaging our services through whatever means constitutes acceptance of our Terms & Conditions of Business described herein. These

Terms & Conditions may not be altered.

PAYMENT:

If you are planning to settle the balance due on the day of the event, then this must be settled in cash directly to the DJ in full once set-up is complete. Other forms of payment cannot be accepted.

Preferential rates are offered only for booking and paying through a venue, going outside of this arrangement means that the non-discounted fee will be charged in full.

The full balance of the event fee will be charged if the function is not cancelled with 90 days of the event date. Booking deposits will not be returned once the event has been booked with us. A failure to settle any fees due within 10 days of the completed event will result in legal action.

HEALTH & SAFETY:

We require full & clear access to the venue by the shortest route possible. If your venue is upstairs or has poor or restricted access we must be informed at the time of booking. If you are in any doubt please discuss this with us and we will advise accordingly. Once we have clear access, we require a minimum of one hour for rigging and the same for de-rigging. It is not our responsibility to make up for the late running of your event, the minimum set-up period always applies.

We reserve to adjust the booked DJ show if the space provided is inadequate to assemble the rig safely. Similarly the inadequate provision of safe mains power will result in a similar adjustment.

If you are booking other entertainment for your event, please consider the amount of space available. It is the responsibility of any other entertainers to provide their own equipment. Guests and other artists cannot plug their devices into our equipment as their performance is not guaranteed by us.

Vehicle access must be across hard road surfaces. We accept no responsibility for damage to soft landscaping if this is not available.

We will not be held responsible for terminating a function or a delay to a function In the event of fire, fire alarms, bad or extreme weather, flooding, public disturbance, power outage, terrorist activity or any other such occurrences. We will, if possible, alert guests to the situation by making an announcement before the event is halted. We will continue as soon as we have been given permission by the appropriate Authority to do so.

For bookings with our LED dance floors, guests may not take drinks onto the LED dance floor. Similarly, bubbles and dry ice cannot be used on the LED dance floor for health & safety reasons.

CONDUCT:

We do not tolerate violent, aggressive or abusive behaviour from anyone under any circumstances. As such, we reserve the right to terminate an event at any time if we feel that the personal safety of any of our representatives is under threat. In this situation no refund will be given.

The client is responsible for any damage to our equipment or vehicles caused by any person attending the event. You will be charged for the full cost of any repairs and expenses incurred during the repair period. You will be advised of any damage as soon as it is caused and notified of the repair cost as soon as possible thereafter. Similarly, we are not responsible for any damage or loss to private or public property caused by invited or uninvited guests.

We are not responsible for event or venue security. You will be advised of any problems that we may have in this respect with any of your guests. Similarly, we do not provide a child-minding service. Parents must be present at all times to oversee the activities of their children.

EQUIPMENT & SOUND LEVEL:

In all cases a hard, level & dry surface must be provided for the equipment (this is particularly important for marquees).

The client must ensure that we have 3 x double 13A sockets available for use within 5m of our set-up area. These must be wall sockets and not supplied an extension lead. We reserve the right to adjust the equipment provided to suit the amount & consistency of the power available. In all cases, the power supply must have RCD protection. The supply must be solely for our own use.

All of our equipment is checked prior to arrival and has been fully tested for performance & safety. If linking our equipment to a venue audio system, we reserve the right to refuse to do so if the equipment is considered to be unsafe or liable to cause damage to any of our system.

If using a venue audio system or ‘Sound Ceiling’ we are required to adhere to the sound limits placed upon us by the venue. We are not responsible for a loss of atmosphere that may occur at lower sound levels. Please discuss this further with us if you have concerns about your particular venue.

We reserve the right to manage sound levels well within the limit required by attenuation or cut-off devices to prevent any damage to our equipment. The client is responsible for any damage caused.

In all cases, the venue governs the finish time of a function. We will always adhere to venue instructions on this matter, even when our contract is for a longer playing period. The venue has the full and final say. Any extra playing time must first be agreed by the venue, then the DJ and settled in full in cash before commencement. The DJ reserves the right to adhere to the original contract if preferred.

Please be aware that due to the experience, professionalism and commitment of all of our team, we have never failed yet to fulfil our booking obligations in full! Putting you centre stage since 1997.
